After you install OS X 10.5.6 check for software updates ("Software Update" under the Apple menu) especially if you are having application problems. Also, you must have an Intel processor to upgrade to Snow Leopard. This updated me to 10.5.8 and everything works fine.
My previous email messages didn't appear and the program wouldn't quit unless I did a force quit. So does adding the updates. The following happened to me: My "Mail" application was not working on my G5.
Also note that upgrading to Leopard takes about two hours. And even though I could go online with a web browser, I couldn't send or receive mail. I called Apple they told me to check for updates.
Don't get concerned if it looks like the installation has stalled, it just takes a LONG time.I like Leopard but its new features are more fun than productive. So you will probably need a Mac Pro.I hope I've been able to help someone.
My laptop was running on an earlier OS and in order to watch any videos online or update much of my other software I had to update my OS t Leopard. Overall it's fine but the loss of the "Classic Environment" is a bummer. Also, I have been having trouble hooking up USB devices and having my computer recognize they are there.
It appears to be working just fine. Glad I could find this software since Apple Stores do not carry it anymore.
I would like to know if somebody can help me. I bought an Apple MacBook Pro MC118LL/A 15.4-Inch Laptop and it cames with Snow Leopard Operation System. I have a program that doesn't go with this OS. What I want to know is if I buy the OS Leopard, an older version, can I install in this Mac book.
It installed with no issues and I love the new look and feel. It seems like it runs much faster, too.
